Replaced a consulting firm's sprawling Excel planning model with a multi-user web platform — same business logic, none of the spreadsheet pain.
The problem
A consulting firm relied on a complex Excel-based model for long-term infrastructure planning across a large portfolio of assets.
The spreadsheet had grown over several years and was difficult to maintain, prone to formula errors, and limited to single-user access — one person editing at a time, with a real risk of overwriting work.
What we built
We rebuilt the entire model as a web application with the same business logic the team already trusted, plus role-based permissions so different users see and edit only the parts relevant to them.
Automated calculations replaced fragile manual formulas, and interactive reporting dashboards gave stakeholders a live view of planning scenarios without needing to open the tool.
The outcome
The client now runs their entire long-term planning process through the platform. Multiple team members can work concurrently, errors are caught before they propagate, and scenario comparisons that used to take days now take minutes.
